Too late, too little, for whom? Considerations on how we respond to socio-ecological crises
At the DTU Centre for Absolute Sustainability, one of our key activities is to put the required socio-technical transitions towards absolute sustainability into perspective so that we can be better equipped to act. But why does action continue to come too late, on too small a scale and in a way that invites criticism? This month’s CfAS lunch seminar explores this question through a short expert presentation and a panel discussion with you, the onsite and online audience.

Joachim Peter Tilsted: postdoctoral researcher and political ecological economist at the University of Copenhagen. Joachim’s research engages with the political economy of sustainability transitions, focusing on the dynamics of decarbonisation in energy-intensive industries and the associated societal change.
Daniel Guzzo: tenure-track researcher at DTU Construct, focusing on employing systems thinking, modelling, and simulation methods to enable absolute sustainability transitions that are timely, resilient, and free of rebound effects.
