Format & Organization
This conference is organized by CfAS, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The conference chair and co-chair are the leaders of CfAS, professor Michael Hauschild, DTU Sustain and professor Tim McAloone, DTU Construct.
The conference is organized as a fully physical meeting and will run over three days in KONVENTUM outside Copenhagen. The conference will consist of classic platform and poster presentation mixed with interactive sessions. See an overview of the preliminary program here.
Session Formats
We aim to create a diverse, interactive program that fosters knowledge exchange across fields and generations. The conference topics will be explored from multiple angles through various session formats including presentation sessions, interactive sessions and keynote presentations.
Presentation sessions
During the call for abstracts, scientists and industry can submit an abstract of their research that are within one of the conference themes. Presentation types include:
- Platform presentation: The presenters will summarize their work relevant to the conference topics in a presentation, highlighting key objectives, methodologies, findings, and implications. Following the presentation, a short debate will encourage diverse viewpoints enhancing the learning experience for attendees and providing the presenter with feedback to inform future research directions.
- Guided poster session: In the guided poster sessions the presenters showcase their research on posters while participants engage with them through moderated discussions. A facilitator will lead small groups through a series of poster presentations, allowing each presenter time to explain their work and answer questions. There will be a mix of research and industry posters encouraging interaction between the two. There will be a poster prize covering the two categories: research and industry posters.
Interactive sessions
With the aim to enforce networking and dialogue, the conference will provide a range of interactive sessions such as panel debates, dine-and-discuss, and design for absolute sustainability workshops. More information on these sessions will come.
Keynote presentations
We have already secured commitment from high-level keynote speakers that each promise to bring a unique perspective on changes that are needed for a transition to a society with a sustainable consumption and production.
