Format & Organization
The conference is organized as a fully physical meeting and will run over three days in KONVENTUM outside Copenhagen. The conference will consist of classic platform and poster presentation mixed with interactive sessions. See an overview of the preliminary formats here.
Session Formats
We aim to create a diverse, interactive program that fosters knowledge exchange across fields and generations. The conference topics will be explored from multiple angles through various session formats including presentation sessions, interactive sessions and keynote presentations.
Presentation sessions
During the call for abstracts, scientists and industry can submit an abstract of their research that are within one of the conference themes. Presentation types include:
- Platform presentation: The presenters will summarize their work relevant to the conference topics in a presentation, highlighting key objectives, methodologies, findings, and implications. Following the presentation, a short debate will encourage diverse viewpoints enhancing the learning experience for attendees and providing the presenter with feedback to inform future research directions.
- Guided poster session: In the guided poster sessions the presenters showcase their research on posters while participants engage with them through moderated discussions. A facilitator will lead small groups through a series of poster presentations, allowing each presenter time to explain their work and answer questions. There will be a mix of research and industry posters encouraging interaction between the two. There will be a poster prize covering the two categories: research and industry posters.
Reboundless Project Sessions at the Conference
We are pleased to announce that the Reboundless project, led by Professor Daniela Pigosso, will host dedicated sessions at the conference.
Reboundless focuses on developing innovative models and strategies to prevent rebound effects—situations where sustainability initiatives inadvertently cause greater environmental harm in other areas. This project is directly tied to the Centre for Absolute Sustainability at DTU and supports its mission to design solutions that help humans live within Earth's planetary boundaries without negatively impacting ecosystems.
During these sessions, participants will explore methodologies to minimize rebound effects and maximize the impact of sustainability efforts, fostering solutions that truly align with the principles of absolute sustainability.
